On November 21 and 22, Fidelity Investments Canada hosted FOCUS 2024 in Scottsdale, connecting our portfolio managers and experts with advisors. Neil Constable is Fidelity’s head of quantitative research and investing, and he made his first appearance at a Fidelity Investments Canada event, sitting down at FOCUS with host Glen Davidson for a look at how Fidelity is quantifying tomorrow. Under Neil’s leadership, Fidelity has been expanding its data and quant capabilities and integrating them into traditional fundamental analysis. Neil heads the team responsible for the Fidelity Factor ETFs products, which are included in the Fidelity All-In-One ETFs. Neil touches on quantitative research trends, how his team and Fidelity tailor quant strategies to meet the specific needs of different clients, as well as his own unique career path that lead him to his role as head of quant research within a large financial institution.
