Director of Quantitative Market Strategy Denise Chisholm is back on the program discussing recent data that may affect your portfolio and where advisors might want to look for opportunities in today’s market. Inflation is still the top story as we close out the year and look ahead to 2023. Denise points out the position of central banks and how their rhetoric may have caught the market off guard with their hawkish approach. Investors may want to base their decisions not on what the Fed or the ECB says, but on what they are willing or would be willing to do instead. Denise says to keep in mind both the Fed and ECB were team transitory last year and they got the forecast wrong. Denise also touches upon value, growth and recent CPI numbers as well.
Recorded on December 15, 2022.
